It is produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese from the Contrada Monte Serra Estate, which is the monopole vineyard located right outside the winery of Benanti in Viagrande. The vines are trained with the free standing bush (“alberello”) system. Bright, medium-density garnet red. Smells like cherries and rhubarb in the nose. On the palate, smooth, fine tannin, juicy cherry fruit.
