Quinta Do Portal Reserva: Concentrated ruby colour with aromas of ripe black fruit and some floral notes in perfect harmony with some toast from the oak. Expressive on the palate, it has lovely acidity and a pleasant fruity and toasty aftertaste. The final is long and complex and it will develop further with more time in bottle.

Grande Reserva Branco: It has a beautiful shiny colour that immediately draws our attention. The aromatic profile is complex with a mix of white flowers, mature yellow pulp fruits and also dehydrated fruits. The toasted notes on the mouth take us to another dimension, warmer and complex, with very fine acidity and volume alongside. The final is very fresh, very long and guarantees a beautiful future with the evolution in bottle.

Grande Reserva: Grande Reserva was our first outstanding wine, fruit of the 1996 harvest. It was also the first wine of the Douro with this designation. Later it was adopted by the Douro region as the designation for its best wines. It has a beautiful dark violet colour, and a very complex aromatic profile marked by ripe red fruits, blackberries and dark cherry. It’s very fresh, with serious but round tannins, and a toasted note complementing the fruit. The final is long and complex, stating that it’s worth cellaring it for a few more years. But as it’s also drinking very well right now, it would be a shame not to get the best of all its irreverent youth.
